Belonging
Reimagined
What is
Belonging Integration™?
self
Do I belong to myself?
interpersonal
Do I belong in my one-on-one relationships?
community
Do I belong in my communities?
universal
Do I belong in a larger system?
I’m Dr. Mona Nour, a belonging researcher and therapist who studies belonging as a lived experience, not a buzzword. In my work, the word I hear most often isn’t burned out or overwhelmed—it’s anxious. People feel unsafe, unseen, rejected, and unsure where they fit.
We are wired for connection, yet many of us feel increasingly disconnected—from one another and from ourselves. I developed the Belonging Integration™ Model to help make sense of that gap, and to name what’s actually missing when belonging breaks down.
